Clos de Tart 2021

Clos de Tart is one of Burgundy's most storied Grand Cru monopoles — a single walled vineyard in Morey-Saint-Denis owned in its entirety since 1141, now under the meticulous stewardship of Domaine du Clos de Tart. Farmed biodynamically and vinified with exceptional precision, the wine is celebrated for its rare combination of power and finesse.

The 2021 vintage is elegant and vertical in structure, with aromas of red cherry, wild strawberry, violet, and crushed stone, layered with subtle spice and a faint smokiness from careful oak aging. The palate is silky and tightly wound, showing fine, chalky tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish. Still youthful, it will reward a decade or more in the cellar, though its purity of fruit makes it compelling even now. A true collector's Grand Cru from one of the Côte de Nuits' most singular terroirs.
