Nicolas Catena Zapata 2019

Nicolás Catena Zapata, debuting in 1997, was the first luxury red wine from Argentina to be distributed globally. This cuvée honors the classic Bordeaux blend of the 18th and 19th centuries, where Malbec was prominent alongside Cabernet Sauvignon. The grapes are hand-harvested, fermented in small oak barrels, concrete, and stainless-steel tanks at 26-28ºC for 10-15 days, followed by 5-10 days of maceration. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels.
