Domaine Georges Vernay Condrieu Coteau de Vernon 2022

A flagship Condrieu from the legendary “King of Condrieu,” Georges Vernay, Coteau de Vernon is made from old Viognier vines (50–80 years) planted on steep granite terraces. The 2.5-hectare vineyard is entirely hand-farmed without herbicides or insecticides. Since 1997, Christine Vernay has carried on the family legacy, earning global acclaim for her refined, terroir-driven wines.

Fermented and aged in oak barrels (25% new) for 12–18 months on fine lees, this wine shows a floral, perfumed nose with orchard fruit, white flowers, and wild herbs. The palate is textured and elegant, with notes of peach, fig, nuts, and a mineral lift on the long, dry finish. A powerful yet graceful Viognier—ideal for decanting and cellaring.
